A blank page, an unnecessary appendix or a duplicate page? Enter the numbers of the pages to remove and get a clean PDF, without uploading your document.
How it works
- Select the PDF.
- Enter the pages to delete, for example 2, 5-7.
- Click “Delete pages” and download the new file.
Frequently asked questions
How do I find a page’s number?
Open the PDF in your usual reader: the number shown in its toolbar, not the one printed on the page, is the one to enter.
Can I delete several pages at once?
Yes: separate the numbers with commas and use ranges, for example “2, 5-7, 10”.
Is the original file modified?
No, PDFRoll creates a new file. The original stays intact.
Can I delete every page except one?
Yes, but “Extract pages” is simpler then: just enter the page to keep.
Is the quality of the other pages preserved?
Yes. The remaining pages are copied as they are, without recompression.
Can I delete pages on my phone?
Yes, right in your phone’s or tablet’s browser, with no app and no sign-up.
My PDF is password-protected. What can I do?
First remove the protection with the “Unlock PDF” tool if you know the password, then delete the pages.
Specify the pages to delete
Type the page numbers in the “Pages to delete” field, separated by commas:
- “2”: deletes only page 2.
- “5-7”: deletes pages 5, 6 and 7.
- “10-”: deletes everything from page 10 onwards.
- “1, 4, 9-12”: combines several pages and ranges.
The remaining pages keep their original order. The new file is named after the document followed by “_edited”, and PDFRoll tells you how many pages were deleted and how many are left.
Examples of use
- Remove the blank pages left by a double-sided scan.
- Take out the terms and conditions or appendices before sending a quote.
- Delete a page containing information the recipient doesn’t need to see.
- Trim down a statement or presentation before sending it by email.
Limits and best practices
You can’t delete every page: at least one must remain. The number to enter is the page’s position in the file (1 for the first), which may differ from the number printed at the bottom of the page, for example when the document starts with a cover page.
The pages you keep are copied without recompression. Your original file isn’t modified, and all the processing happens in your browser.
Would another tool be a better fit?
If you only want to keep a few pages of a long document, “Extract pages” is simpler: you enter the pages to keep rather than the ones to remove. To spot the pages to remove visually, use “Organize PDF”, which shows thumbnails. And to hide information on a page without removing the whole page, “Redact PDF” is the tool for the job. If the file is still too large once the pages are removed, finish with “Compress PDF”.
