Compress a PDF for DossierFacile
DossierFacile caps each file at 10 MB, but allows 50 MB for a document made of several pages. Which limit applies to you depends on whether you upload your payslips one by one or as a single file.

Two limits, not one
A single file is capped at 10 MB. A document assembled from several files is allowed up to 50 MB in total. Scanning three payslips as three files and scanning them as one changes which ceiling you hit.
In practice the 10 MB per file is what blocks people, because a phone photo of a payslip is heavier than a scan of it and three photos reach the limit quickly.
Getting the file through, in three steps
- Open Compress PDF and drop your file in.
- Aim for 8 MB rather than 10, so an extra page does not push you over.
- Download the result and upload it to your file.
The compression runs in your browser: payslips, tax notices and bank statements never reach a server.
If the file is still too heavy
- Photographs are the usual cause. A flat scan at 200 dpi is lighter and far more legible than a phone photo.
- Convert your photos with Images to PDF before compressing rather than after.
- Several payslips can be combined with Merge PDF, which lets you use the 50 MB document allowance instead of the 10 MB file one.
